SESTA Partners With Non-Profits


At Southeastern Shoe Travelers Association, we promote the best interests and welfare of our members but we also promote the best interest of people, especially those in need in the United States and around the world.  Since we are an organization whose core is everything shoes, it makes sense to partner with shoe related non-profit organizations who strive to enrich the lives of people in need.

One of those organizations is the Soles4Souls Charity.  Their goal is to change the world – one pair at a time!  Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and the closets of people like you. 

The charity distributes these shoes to people in need, regardless of race, religion, class, or any other criteria.  Since 2005, Soles4Souls has delivered over 19 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes. The shoes have been distributed to people in over 125 countries, including Kenya, Thailand, Nepal and the United States.  Currently they are accepting donations to help people suffering from Hurricane Sandy.

We also partner with the Two Ten Footwear Foundation. Two Ten is a charitable foundation offering Financial Assistance, Counseling, Community Resources and Scholarships to those working in the footwear industry. There are no fees required, or membership needed to benefit from these services. Two Ten is committed to strengthening the footwear community with financial, social and educational support and services while nurturing community building and volunteerism.  In 2011, Two Ten fielded more than 2,000 calls and provided more than $1.24 million in financial assistance to shoe people in need. 

Two Ten provides emergency financial assistance for individuals in the footwear industry. They also send financial help within 48 hours of the first call.  Two Ten also started a scholarship program in 1969.  Since its inception, Two Ten has made it possible for 6,000 students to go to college. They’ve given out over $17 million in scholarships in that time.  Two Ten Foundation is currently in need of donations and need your help.

The Atlanta Shoe Market has a fresh new look for its Spring 2013 show.  Our new advertising campaign features a stunning  jeweled sandal combined with a water theme – refreshing!

We are also “refreshing” our show.  New space has been added to feature a special area just for work and western boots – The Work Zone.

The registration deadline date for Exhibitors for the August 2012 Atlanta Shoe Market Show is approaching rapidly!  The registration form must be received in our office by April 17, 2012.  The registration form and full payment of the shows fees must be received in order for your booth placement to be considered based on your points.

The Exhibitor deadline date for registration forms for the August 2012 Atlanta Shoe Market is approaching fast.  Your form must be received in our office by April 17th with full payment of the show fees in order for your booth placement to be based on your points.

New Space Available at The Atlanta Shoe Market: The Work Zone

For more than a decade, The Atlanta Shoe Market has been recording dramatic increases in the number of lines on exhibit at its semi-annual shows. Now, not only is the show floor of the Cobb Galleria Centre being sold out, so are the hallways, the meeting rooms, the ballrooms and the food court!

With the August 2012 show approaching, new space has once again been added. The Work Zone will feature work and western boots. This new area will be located in the Habersham Ballroom and the Garden Court areas of the Renaissance Waverly Hotel.

Before the BIG Atlanta Shoe Market show in August, the Atlanta Fashion Shoe and Accessory Market will take place from June 13th-15th.

This event is sponsored by The Atlanta Shoe Market, and is held in June and December at the Embassy Suites Hotel-Galleria in Atlanta, GA. This is an all-suite show consisting of 110 exhibitors showing women’s fashion lines. This year, the June show will feature early Spring 2013 styles.

The Atlanta based trade show has grown steadily in size and stature over the years.
