The Atlanta Shoe Market is sponsored by the Southeastern Shoe Travelers Association (SESTA), a non-profit association of industry manufacturers and producer of the show since 1942.
“As the industry’s only non-profit, association-sponsored show, we have always been focused on doing what’s best for our industry,” explains Laura Conwell-O’Brien, SESTA show manager and executive director. “Over the years we have continued to refine the show and make changes with that goal in mind.” Those changes include new sections of the show dedicated to specific product categories to make it easier for retailers focused on those products to compare styles and meet with their suppliers: The Fashion Collection exclusive to Salon and Better Shoes; the Kids Shoe Box exclusive to children’s shoes; and most recently, The Shoe Mix for Women’s Moderate and Junior’s categories.
